FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
01. Do you pose us during family sessions? We are super awkward!
I'm not as interested in capturing posed and stiff images, but rather the true essence of your family. To do this, I use prompts to get you moving, instead of poses. I get at least one "classic family portrait" but otherwise my sessions are about having fun! I will always provide guidance to keep things moving and you'll never be left wondering what to do.
02. Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm based in Canaan, New Hampshire and primarily shoot in the Dartmouth-Sunapee, White Mountains and Central VT region.
For elopements, I'll go wherever you need me and there is no additional charge if it is within New England!
03. Do you do formal family photos at elopements?
Yes - if formal images with your family/guests is something that is important to you, we will absolutely get those! Other than those formal photos, my main focus throughout the day is capturing candid, natural images and I do not work off of a shot list.
04. do you shoot big weddings?
After shooting 100+ weddings, I've com to realize that intimate celebrations are where my heart is! My business is now solely focused on elopements and small weddings (under 50 guests) and family sessions.
05. My home isn't cute enough to do an in-home session!
In-home sessions DO NOT need to include your entire home! Please don’t feel like you need to make every room picture perfect (trust me, no ones is!!) I usually suggest picking a few spaces you are wanting photos in (I highly recommend picking spaces with good natural light!) Photos can also be done outside your home instead (in your garden, with your farm animals, in a field etc.)
06. We are ready to book, what now?
YAY! I can’t WAIT to get to know you and thrilled you are interested in choosing me! To book I require a signed contract and $100 retainer for sessions or $500 for elopements. Dates cannot be reserved until these have been received. Just reach out, I'll respond in 48 hrs and I'll send you full booking information!

I'm based in Canaan, NH and travel up to 90 miles one way without a travel fee. I primarily cover the Dartmouth/Lake Sunapee, White Mountain + Upper Valley areas.
